We host a monthly drop-in session where anyone can pop in and have a chat with us to find out more about the project. These take place on the first Wednesday of every month from 2:30pm – 4pm or from 5pm to 7pm, alternating afternoons and evenings, (if times vary we will notify you via our monthly newsletter) at our project office in the former Holloway Prison Visitors Centre, Parkhurst Rd, N7 OAF. Positive next steps for the Women’s Building at Holloway Park
Work on the Women’s Building at Holloway Park is progressing well and remains on track for completion in 2028. Alongside construction, we have continued to work with Islington Council and organisations across the women’s sector to help shape a strong and sustainable future for the building.
Working with the Women’s Building Collective
We are pleased to be moving into the next stage of this work with the Women’s Building Collective and CIVA, it has developed an initial proposal for how these organisations could work together and take forward the vision for the Women’s Building.
Following positive discussions, we have agreed in principle to enter into a nine-month Memorandum of Understanding with the Collective and CIVA. We are now working together to finalise the agreement.
The Memorandum of Understanding will provide a clear framework for the next stage. It will give the Collective and CIVA the time, support and confidence to bring organisations together, develop their plans and explore the opportunity to become the future operator of the building.

Supporting the next stage
Once the agreement is signed, we will work with Islington Council to support the Collective and CIVA as they develop their proposal.
This will include specialist advice on governance, business planning, partnership working and fundraising, alongside dedicated support from our team and advisers.
The work will build on the extensive consultation already carried out with women, local organisations, service providers and partners. Progress will be reviewed together throughout the nine-month period, with clear milestones to help keep the work moving forward.
Looking ahead
We remain committed to delivering the Women’s Building as part of Holloway Park, alongside the next phase of the development, which includes 215 new social rented homes.
The next nine months are an important opportunity to turn shared ambition into a detailed and sustainable plan for the future.
We are encouraged by the progress being made and look forward to continuing to work with the Women’s Building Collective, CIVA, Islington Council and other partners to bring the vision for the building to life.

Phases 2 & 3 consultation
Over the past year, Peabody has been working with the local community to update our plans for Phases 2 and 3 of Holloway Park in response to changing building regulations and market conditions.
We would like to thank everyone who has taken part in our consultation so far. This began in December 2024, when we held a ‘Meet the Team’ event to introduce the new design team looking at the next phases of the redevelopment of Holloway Park. Since then, we’ve continued the conversation through a series of events and activities.
In spring 2025, we shared our early design work and approach for Phases 2 and 3 and welcomed over 60 people to two drop-in exhibitions at the Cat & Mouse Library on 3 and 5 April 2025. We also hosted two design workshops focused on shaping the public spaces and landscape at Holloway Park.
More recently, we held two further events at the Cat and Mouse Library in December 2025 where we welcomed nearly 100 attendees to view our latest designs ahead of submitting a planning application to Islington Council in early 2026.

Following our engagement so far, we have published two reports summarising the feedback we heard – one from the exhibitions and one for the workshops.
