Building Skills and Careers: Successful Work Experience Week

Last month, we had the privilege of hosting an engaging and impactful work experience program on site, welcoming eight residents from Islington to take part in a structured and rewarding week of learning and development.

Organized by our subcontractor, OHOB, through their academy, and promoted by Islington, the program provided participants with hands-on experience and vital training. Under the expert guidance of instructor Cathal, the week proved to be an outstanding success.

Key Highlights from the Week:

• Health & Safety Training: All eight participants successfully completed a comprehensive Health & Safety course, earning valuable certificates to boost their employability.
• CSCS Cards Achieved: Four of the participants went a step further and obtained their CSCS cards, opening up opportunities to work on construction sites across the UK.
• Pathway to Employment: We are thrilled to announce that four participants have already joined our team, taking the next step in their construction careers.

Instructor Cathal was particularly impressed with the dedication and progress shown by all participants, noting their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the program.

This initiative reflects our commitment to empowering local communities, creating opportunities, and fostering skill development. We extend our gratitude to OHOB and their academy for organizing the program and to Cathal for his exceptional guidance.
