The Holloway Park team spent the day helping to bring this valuable outdoor learning space back to life. During the first of three planned volunteer days, our volunteers built raised planting beds, cleared vegetation, repaired a roof, and restored benches, making great progress towards transforming the garden for the school’s pupils.
A huge thank you to Pure Logistics, Malcolm, Lee Marley, Stanmore, Wiltons Electrical, and Doug Phillips for generously donating their time, tools, materials, and expertise. This willing band of volunteers who did the heavy work of the first day can be seen pictured at the top of this post. The support received from our sub-contractors is making a real difference to the school and its pupils.
The next group of volunteers will continue the work helping to ensure the garden once again becomes a space where children can learn, play, and grow their own food. We are expecting more of the Holloway Park team including London Square and Peabody staff to be helping out on other days as this project progresses.
