Holloway Park will provide 985 new homes in Islington, 60% of which will be affordable (415 social rent and 178 shared ownership) and 60 of which will be specialist social rent homes for older people.
A unique and dedicated Women’s Building links to the site’s history and previous use. This building will offer a range of services and facilities to support women in Islington.
A new 1.4-acre public park with play spaces and a nature garden be made available for all to visit and enjoy, with the added benefit of enhancing local biodiversity. A new pedestrian/cycle route through Tufnell Park will also improve connectivity through the area and the development will be supported by new cycling infrastructure too.
Approximately 1,800sqm of commercial space will become available for businesses to let, bringing new businesses and job opportunities to the area.
In addition, an on-site classroom/skills hub will be established for local training and further education opportunities during the construction phase.
We don’t want to wait for this project to be completed to see the benefits to local people. That’s why we have committed to providing 51 apprenticeships for the construction of Holloway Park, 30% of which are specifically aimed at women.
